On the 4th April 2019, we hosted the Sandwell Exploitation Summit on behalf of Sandwell Children’s Safeguarding Partnership, who wanted to put on a learning and development day for children, young people and family practitioners. This was to bring awareness around Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE), gangs, county lines, youth violence and Criminal Exploitation. There were over 220 practitioners in attendance.
Our approach was to work alongside the partnership and help co-produce a learning event that would meet their objectives. We weaved in our values based approach to ensure that the event was informative, thought-provoking and enjoyable. Much of our feedback was that it was mind-blowing, valuable and eye-opening.
We are currently in the process of tailoring bespoke training for Sandwell Children’s Safeguarding Partnership too, so we are really excited about that. Keep your eyes peeled for more information.
